This is a troubling new trend and we wanted to assure all of our customers that at Swords of The East we ONLY sell brand new swords direct from the manufacturers that we deal with.

You can be confident shopping with us that our prices are low and all of swords are brand new. We stand fully behind our swords always.

While other sites pass on supposedly "new" swords at supposedly "discounted" prices, we sell only brand new swords at affordable prices to you. Be confident shopping with us that you are receiving quality merchandise direct from our manufacturers.

While we have a "price beating" guarantee at our website please be aware that if you find any of our swords that we sell for $150-300 at other sites selling them for $40-50-60 less, there is a VERY GOOD chance those swords are second hand swords.

You get what you pay for with samurai swords and if you pay BELOW manufacturer's costs you are probably going to get a 2nd hand sword.

While at first blush some of these swords may appear legitimate, often times the problems are in the forging process and these may be marketed as full-tang swords when in reality they are half-tang. In addition there would be a high probability that you are getting fake rayskin as opposed to "real" rayskin.

There are too many ways to mention how a reseller can "hide" a 2nd hand sword or an auction-site sword while marketing it as a "new" sword.
