I bought this for when I go to a public park to practice Tai Chi and Tai Chi sword. This sword suits my purpose and it is what I expected for an inexpensive wooden sword.
Although a little sanding and a few coats of boiled linseed oil will make this much nicer, it works fine the way it is.

This is the style that my shifu prefers. It seems to be well made. My only complaint is that it is not sanded very smooth and doesn't seem to have a protective clear coat on it or any kind of wax or oil coating -- just raw wood. My guard is also a little loose and rattles some. Nothing I can't fix with a little glue.
