It is a simple weapon as it can be made out of just about anything making practice with a bo staff the most practical of just about any hand held weapon. Rattan was a natural choise for a bo staff material as it is easy to find, light, quick, and very durable. Our rattan staff is of the highest quality and are used all over the world in martial arts tournaments and dojos.
