(SORRY WE HAVE SOLD OUT ON THIS CLOSEOUT SPECIAL)........The Shinto XL Light Katana samurai sword features a hand-forged T10 high-carbon steel katana blade featuring the geometry of the Performance Series. The blade is differentially hardened using the traditional claying method. The Shinto samurai sword is mounted in black and the tsuka-ito is made of premium black Japanese cotton. The saya is finished in a deep black lacquer with a black cotton sageo. A finely rendered dragon, detailed in gold, with true front-and-back detail, forms the black iron tsuba. The fittings of this sword are superbly antiqued adding to the aesthetics of the set. The Shinto is supplied with a protective cloth bag and traditional maintenance kit. The Shinto XL Light has a hi/groove in the blade as it is an XL Light The sword weighs approx 3 lb 4.2 ounces in sheath The sword weighs approx 2 lb 7 ounces out of sheath 40.5 inches overall in length 29.5 blade length 11 inch handle length (SOLD OUT !)
