This Tiger Elite Japanese katana has been completely re-designed from the ground up. The sword combines CAS/Hanwei's premium Performance Series blade with top-quality traditional fittings for a superior katana that delivers excellent cutting performance and real pride-of-ownership.

The steel is hand-forged and folded K120C powder steel which has been differentially tempered via traditional claying techniques, producing an effective HRC60 edge and stable HRC40 back. The hamon is gorgeous and very prominant, and the hada is equally as impressive, revealing the detail of the steel's folded structure. The top-quality fittings are done in blackened bronze and highlighted in gold.

The standout of this katana is the "stalking tiger" motif featured on the blackened iron tsuba. The finest authentic ray skin same' is covered in a premium quality Japanese cotton ito, the same top-quality cotton found on the sageo. The included traditional maintenance kit and cloth bag provide protection for your quality Tiger Elite Katana.
